This souvenir token was issued to promote the radio serial program "Thank you, Stusia" based in 15th century Spain . The program followed the mad adventures of four characters, each given $1,000,000 by the eccentric Stusia Pennypacker. The show was broadcast as part of the WSM Grand Ole Opry Saturday night programming. This program, broadcast only for part of 1936 (dating the item to that year), sponsored by Alka-Seltzer. The show's catchy theme song written by Jack Frost in 1936 was published as sheet music. This token was designed to resemble a gold treasure coin.Alka-Seltzer is a product of Miles Laboratories, Elkhart, Indiana. Which sponsored the radio show.
