The Casino Grand-Cercle was inaugurated by King Victor-Emmanuel II of Savoy in 1850, to enhance the spa's entertainment appeal and attract European high society and artists to Savoy. The building inaugurated by the King was designed by Chambery architect Charles-Bernard Pellegrini2. The central part of the building featured a ballroom flanked by two salons, one for games, the other for reading and correspondence. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Grand-Cercle
