Fishbourne Roman Palace is a British archaeological site located at Fishbourne (en), in the borough of Chichester and the West Sussex region. It is the largest known Roman residential building in Britain. It was built around 75 AD, some thirty years after the Roman conquest of Britain. Its many mosaic floors, of remarkable quality, make it an exceptional site.
A large part of the palace has been excavated and is preserved today. A museum has been built on site. The rectangular palace was surrounded by formal gardens, the northern sections of which have been reconstructed. (Source : www.wikipedia.org)
