COMMEMORATIVE QUEEN'S CORONATION COIN
ELIZABETH II
1953
Comment
On September 9, 2015 Queen Elizabeth becomes the longest-serving monarch in British History, beating Queen Victoria's 63 years. To celebrate her Coronation in June 1953, the Royal Mint struck a special five-shilling coin, or crown. The edge inscription read Faith And Truth I Will Bear Unto You, which is taken from the Coronation Oath. To mark this momentous occasion the Daily Mail has produced this limited edition coin.
