In 1998, Dadas company went bankrupt, in which SIT 11 billion was credited to receivables, while the assets of the company were worth less than 100 million Tolars at that time. Company's director Davorin Sadar, accused by the state prosecutor of abuse of position and rights and securities fraud, escaped abroad in the middle of the trial in 2000, and in 2005 the USA handed him over back to Slovenia. In 2003, he was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison, and then in 2008, he was sentenced to one year's probationary penalty for fraud involving the "conclusion of an option contracts". In the meantime, he was also convicted in Croatia.Investors in the mutual funds Proficia Dadas complained over the Market Agency in March 1996, which was warning investors that the Proficie Dadas mutual funds would bring "beautiful and unrealistic returns". As a result, the SBI index began to decline the same day, which led to a real stock market collapse. This led to the collapse of Dadas' funds, which contained about 5.7 billion of assets at the time, and about 3,500 investors were damaged after the collapse.
