Comment

Christophe-Joseph-Alexandre Mathieu de Dombasle, commonly C.J.A. Mathieu de Dombasle or simply Mathieu de Dombasle, born in Nancy on February 26, 1777 and died in the same town on December 27, 1843, was an agronomist and forerunner of French higher agricultural education. Nicknamed "France's best ploughman" by his contemporaries, he founded an "exemplary farm" in Roville, soon to be imitated, and a successful farm implement factory. (Source : www.wikipedia.org)
