Comment
Total Cultural Center is part of Total Shopping Mall (Portuguese: Shopping Total) and its structure was once the Brahma Brewery (Portuguese: Cervejaria Brahma). What was kept of the brewery (façades, basement and historical buildings) became the cultural center.
"Leal e Valerosa" was the title gave by Emperor Pedro II to Porto Alegre for keeping loyal to Brazil during the Ragamuffin War (1835-1845). "Valerosa" is an outdated spelling of "valorosa" that was in use at the time.
