Token listed in R. Weiller's second book.

Café du Commerce, located at 27, rue de la Gare in Clervaux, was run from 1913 by Aloyse Wilmes and Henriette Koener.
Henriette Koener died in April 1941 at the age of 51. Aloyse Wilmes continued to run the café until 1950.
Aloyse Wilmes, who had trained as a butcher, ran the "Boucherie des Ardennes" next door. At first, he was also a farmer, baker and distiller. By the end of the 1940s, he was also selling coal and building materials.

Weiller-type token no. 53, ordered via the Auguste Nimax intermediary house in Luxembourg City. This type of token was minted from around 1933 until 1965. The Café Wilmes-Koener token was therefore issued between 1933 and 1950.
