The establishment was run by Joseph Mertens between 1931 and 1940 at 169, rue de Rollingergrund in Luxembourg City. An establishment called "Café Fixmesch Helen" later existed in the same location.

The present type is characterized by the central hole and thus differs from type W#ML 258. The token with hole was probably used after ML# 258.
