"Bub", de son vrai nom Edouard Henkes, était à partir de 1949 propriétaire du café sis au 144 Mühlenweg à Gasperich, quartier de la ville de Luxembourg.Les premiers jetons (500 expl.) furent frappés en 1955 (Weiller# ML125), identifiables au verre de bière au revers.
Le présent jeton a été frappé en 1962 avec un coin existant. La même année, 500 exemplaires ont a nouveau été frappés, mais à l'aide d'une nouvelle matrice. Cette matrice a servit a frapper 1'000 exemplaires supplémentaires en 1965. (Weiller# ML127)
