Part of a series of 12 medals dedicated to Belgian Folklore by the Royal Mint of Belgium.Charles V, passing through a tavern in Olen, asked for a beer and it was brought to him but the waiter was holding it by the handle, so the emperor asked for a mug with two handles for his next visit which was done. When he returned, he was served his drink, but the waiter held the mug with both hands. Charles V asked for a mug with 3 handles, which was also done. When he returned, he was served this mug with both hands, but with the third handle turned towards the waiter. Finally it was decided to make mugs with 4 handles so that the emperor could finally take it.
