Australia Square is an office and retail complex in Sydney Australia which was completed in 1967. The Tower building is a major feature of the complex.
The tokens were used for access to the lift which took tourists to the observation deck and facilities. Tokens for children and group excursions were also used. The tokens had to be pre-purchased before they were allowed to enter the lift.
There is a slight variation of this Token. The Obverse has a smooth background instead of a lined one.
