ARISTOCRAT AUTOMATICS Ltd.
 Aristocrat Works
 Rookery Way
 Hendon, London, N.W.9

Parent company, Ainsworth Consolidated Industries of Australia. First began operating in Great Britain in 1958 as a sales outlet for fruit machines imported from Australia. In 1965 acquired J.H. Amusements Ltd. as an operating division. This part of the company operated amusement machines in an area roughly bounded by Quorn, Shrewsbury, Hereford and Oxford. The company also owned a large share of Easy Serve Ltd. of Liverpool, who were distributors and manufacturers of A.W. P. machines. Aristocrat's main business was the assembly of fruit machines from parts imported from Australia and Europe, and the sale and servicing of the finished machine which were also exported to Europe and Scandinavia. Fruit machines were the only type of gaming or amusement machine they were concerned with. Machines were exported either with supplies of standard Aristocrat tokens or with specially designed mechanisms for accepting the customers tokens or coins of the country to which they were being sent. The majority of sales in Britain were to private clubs where tokens were not used. Serial numbers found on the jackpot tokens are stamped by Aristocrat to suit each customers requirements.

(The Ainsworth Dental Company (Aristocrat) began production about 1952.)
