Comment

Southern Netherlands token of Antoine de Croÿ (1541-1567), first prince of Porcien, was the only son of Charles de Croÿ and Françoise d'Amboise. Partisan of the Reform, he rallied the party of Admiral de Coligny and died in 1567 without an heir. He had married in 1560 Catherine de Clèves, the daughter of the Duke of Nevers, who remarried in 1570 to Henri de Guise, the leader of the Catholic party.
