Comment
The Landjuweel is an event of the Brabant militia guilds (region in the Netherlands); big festival in which thousands of guild brothers participate. The title Landjuweel is only awarded by the board of the North Brabant Federation of Schuttersgilden for a large-scale guild party that must meet special requirements. For example, other cultural events must take place around a country jewel. This recalls the late medieval shooting games or country jewels among the Brabant militia guilds, where the Brabant rhetoric chambers also performed as a luster. The name landjuweel is said to be derived from the old French “joiel”, which means prize or game."C M O P B K" refers to:
C = Het land van Cuyk
M = Maasland
O = Het kwartier van Oirschot
P = Peelland
B = Baronie en Marquisaat
K = Kempenland
