Companhia Telefônica Brasileira exists from 1923 to 1976 and was the fixed and public telephone company that served the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The CTB telephone tokens were used for public telephones and are the oldest in Brazil. The first is made of bronze and is larger than the chips, which are probably from the 1950s or 1960s.
