Rare commemorative medal of the 50th anniversary of the Serbian Uprising, medal established by the son of Milos Obrenović, Mihailo. Based on compiled lists of all living warriors from the Second Uprising and their families of those insurgents who died during the fight or died after the uprising, Prince Mihailo instituted the first Serbian decoration - the Order of Takovo Cross for the surviving insurgents from 1815 and a silver Memorial Medal with the figures of Prince Miloš and Prince Mihailo for the families of deceased heroes who participated in the uprising and fought together with Prince Miloš. The celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Serbian Uprising was held on May 23, 1865, in the field right in front of Prince Miloš's residence in Topčider. The celebration was attended by 27 warriors, who were personally decorated by Prince Mihailo with the Takovo Cross, while silver medals were awarded to 47 families of the organizers of the Second Uprising.
