Comment
In January 1237, the aldermen and community of the town of Bailleul promised Louis IX, King of France, and Blanche de Castille, his mother, to follow their lead if Count Thomas de Savoie or Countess Jeanne, his wife, broke the treaties signed between France and Flanders. The original of this seal was appended to this charter.
