Token for Café Quod-Zbinden, 46, rue d'Itzig, Sandweiler. The establishment was taken over by the couple Gabriel Quod and Josephine Zbinden in 1935. Following Gabriel Quod's death in April 1965, the widow ran the café for a further five years. Their youngest son, Jean Quod, became the successor. In May 1978, he closed the café for renovations. Once the work was completed, the café was rented out, and the new manager, Georges Calon, reopened it in September 1979. The establishment still exists today under the name "Sandweiler Eck".The Quod-Zbinden family minted 7 different tokens, the present token being the last in the series, 500 of which were minted in 1970.
