Part of a collection of replicas of historical Portuguese coins sold at money museum from INCM (Portuguese Mint).

The original pieces where made since 1750 when the gold mines had to fuse the gold under government supervision to avoid tax evasion. These little bars circulated like money.
This particular bar is from 1796, made at the Vila Rica mine, weighing 58g of 23K gold.
