From Danish wikipedia https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Det_Kongelige_Danske_LandhusholdningsselskabThe Royal Danish Household Association was established on 29 January 1769 and still exists.
The purpose of the association was to promote and improve the farming and cultivation methods of agriculture through information, awarding and awarding of prizes to the farmers.
Similar societies were founded at the same time throughout Europe with The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts Manufacture and Commerce in England as the first in 1753. In 1760 the Société Royale d'Agriculture de la Généralité de Tours was founded and in 1761 the Société Royale d ' Agriculture de la Généralité de Paris in France. In Germany came the Fürstlich-Anhaltische Deutsche Gesellschaft in 1761 and another company in 1765. In 1764 two companies were formed in Spain, in 1765 another company came in Germany and the same year in Russia the Imperial Free Economic Society for the Encouragement in Russia of Agriculture and House-Building. In 1766 two companies followed in Holland and in 1767 two more companies in England. Italy got its first company in 1768, the Academy of Agriculture, Commerce and Arts of Verona.
With King Christian VII as patron, the Danish company Frederik Ludvig Moltke became the first president.
Today's members of the Royal Danske Landhusholdningsselskab is primarily larger farmers, researchers and business people with relations to the agricultural sector.
