Comment

The museum of London has over 1 million artefacts from over 1000 years of history, with numerous costumes, maps, photographs and archeology from London's colourful past. This includes Roman lamps, medieval shoes, the Cheapside treasure hoard and items salvaged from the Great Fire of London. The museum's 25th Anniversary was in 2001, so it is likely that this pressed penny dates from that year.
