Comment

According to the "Patrimoines" (Heritage) team of the Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint), this commemorative token is a reproduction of a "mint master's pass". It features hammers, which were tools used by these minters who were organized in a guild, which granted them certain privileges. These tokens generally date back to the 14th century.
