Comment

In the days between January 9 and 11, 1942, a clash took place in the town of Dražgoše between the fighters of the Cankar battalion (NOV POS) and the German occupier, which later became known as the Battle of Dražgoše. In memory of the bitter human tragedy of the Battle of Dražgoše, the fallen partisans, locals from Dražgoše and other victims, events are held every year under the title "On the tracks of the Partisan Jelovice" (Po stezah partizanske Jelovice).
The memorial walk, which takes place from the "Pasja raven" or the Črni vrh settlement (above Polhov Gradec) to Dražgoše, is the longest commemorative march as part of commemorative events from the time of World War II, which take place in Slovenia every year.
