According to tradition, the Buckriders (Bokkenrijders in Dutch, Bokkeriejersj in Limburgish and Bockreitern in German) were a gang that was active in the Limburg area, Herzogenrath and Schinnen between 1730 and 1780. At that time, Limburg was still a unified area, whereas today it is divided into three states: Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
