The Villa Cavrois in Croix, in the Nord department of France, was commissioned by Paul Cavrois, a Roubaix textile industrialist, from the Parisian architect Robert Mallet-Stevens.This large, modern château is organized to best manage the lives of the nine family members and the work of the household staff. Its style is in complete contrast to the neighboring residences of the same period. The program for this building, commissioned in 1929, is clear: "air, light, work, sports, hygiene, comfort and economy".
