The viaduct of Fades is a French railway viaduct launched over the Sioule, between the municipalities of Sauret-Besserve (canton of Saint-Eloy-les-Mines), in the north, and Les Ancizes-Comps (canton of Saint-Georges-de-Mons), in the south, in the department of Puy-de-Dôme (region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes).This structure gives way to the railway line from Lapeyrouse to Volvic (section of the connection from Clermont-Ferrand to Montluçon-Ville, via the Combrailles plateau), whose operation was suspended on December 9, 2007 by the regional management of the SNCF for safety reasons, its poor condition resulting from its lack of maintenance. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viaduc_des_Fades
