Comment

The Roman bridge and the ancient theater of Vaison-la-Romaine are intertwined, in reality some 500m apart. The 2000-year-old single-arched bridge towers over the Ouvèze at a height of 12m. The ancient theater was destroyed as early as the 5th century, and almost nothing remained of it by the Renaissance, but its 32 tiers were restored from the 19th century onwards.
