The Saint-Bénigne de Dijon cathedral is a 13th century Gothic style church located in the protected center of Dijon in Côte-d'Or. The building is dedicated to Saint Bénigne de Dijon (Christian martyr of the 2nd century). The abbey church of the Saint-Bénigne de Dijon abbey (6th century) became a cathedral in 1792 after the Saint-Etienne de Dijon church, which was the first to receive the Dijon bishopric created in 1731. It has been classified as a historical monument since 1862 and the crypt is classified as a historical monument since 1846. It is the largest building in Dijon with a height of 93 meters.
