Section paloise is a XV rugby club founded in 1902 and an integral part of the French omnisports club Section paloise, based in Pau in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. Bernard Pontneau has chaired the club since 2006. The first team, coached by Sébastien Piqueronies, plays in the Top 14 (French first division). The Section paloise rugby pro structure, created in 1998 as an SASP, is supported by the Association Section paloise rugby, which has over 450 members. Its mission is to train players from rugby school through to the "espoir" category, with the club taking part in the French "espoir" championship in the elite group.
