The Musée du Luxembourg is an art exhibition space housed in a wing built perpendicular to the orangery of the Palais du Luxembourg, on rue de Vaugirard, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
Since 2000, this cultural institution has been under the supervision of the French Senate, which sits in the rest of the palace (in some cases, this supervision involves entrusting the management of exhibitions to a private company).
Its current vocation is to periodically present thematic and original art exhibitions, focusing on three main themes linked to the history of the site: "The Renaissance in Europe", "Art and Power" and "The Palace, the Garden and the Museum: Luxembourg at the heart of Paris, capital of the arts".
