The Parc Zoologique de Paris, formerly the Parc Zoologique du Bois de Vincennes and commonly known as the Zoo de Vincennes, is a French zoological park run by the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, where it covers an area of 14.5 hectares in the western part of the Bois de Vincennes. Conceived in 1934 as a complement to the Jardin des Plantes menagerie, the zoo is dedicated to the observation of animal behavior in captivity and the reproduction of endangered species in their native environment.Price
