The Musée de la Gendarmerie Nationale is a museum dedicated to the history of the French Gendarmerie Nationale, located in the town of Melun, France.Inaugurated in 1946, it has been extended several times. Temporarily closed and entirely refurbished from 2007 onwards under a protocol signed in 2005 between the Ministry of Defense, the Melun Val de Seine Agglomeration Community and the city of Melun, it finally reopened in 2015 in a building located in the immediate vicinity of the Gendarmerie Nationale officers' school.
