In 1964, after two years of dazzling success at the beginning of his career, while living in his apartment at 46, boulevard Exelmans in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the variety star Claude François was looking for a country house where he could live with his family, receive his friends on the weekends, and rest between two tours of shows, to escape from the admirers who assailed him.
