Asterix: The Domain of the Gods is a French-Belgian animated film directed by Alexandre Astier and Louis Clichy, released in 2014. It is an adaptation of the Asterix album Le Domaine des dieux.In this film, Julius Caesar has a new plan to subdue the village of diehard Gauls: build a Roman residential district, the Domaine des dieux, in the surrounding forest to seduce the villagers and force them to conform to the Roman way of life. While the Gauls' usual methods initially work to keep the Romans at bay, Asterix soon realizes that a less violent strategy is needed to foil Caesar's plan.
