The human fossils discovered, dated between 570,000 and 400,000 years before present (BP), are generally attributed to the species Homo heidelbergensis. The first tooth was unearthed in 1965, and the partial Arago 21 fossil skull in 1971, by the team of Henry and Marie-Antoinette de Lumley. Excavation campaigns carried out each summer continue to deliver new fossil remains on a regular basis. The lithic industry associated with the Tautavel Man is Acheulean. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homme_de_TautavelPrice
