The attraction is a Flying Theatre, a type of attraction inspired by Disney's Soarin' Over California. A dynamic 84-seat platform designed by Canadian company Dynamic Structures rises almost 90° vertically, placing visitors with their feet in the air, facing a 600 m2 half-spherical screen. The attraction simulates an aerial circumnavigation of the globe, with a 21st-century interpretation of Jules Verne's teleportation theme. During this simulated journey, the screen and façade of the Magic Carpet pavilion appear to open up for a take-off over the Parc du Futuroscope. The Sahara and the pyramids of Egypt, a futuristic vision of the Dubai skyline, the Ganges and the Taj Mahal, the Himalayan mountains, Yellowstone National Park and its Grand Prismatic Spring are all part of the CGI-simulated journey, once again with the Parc du Futuroscope and its Magic Carpet as the arrival point.
Onboard sensory effects (wind, drizzle, cold, scents, etc.) and slight platform movements enhance immersion.
A themed queue and preshow ("departure hall", "aeronavette", boarding airlock) precede the attraction's main hall.
The production of the attraction's images was entrusted to Cube Creative (film directed by Nicolas Deveaux) and the soundtrack to Comptoir du Son (original symphonic music composed by Franck Marchal).
