Since April 5, 2006, visitors to the Parc du Futuroscope have been able to visit the latest Futuroscope pavilion, the new 2,000 m2 Pavillon des Robots, to be swept up in dizzying, aerial dancing with robots, to the rhythms of salsa, rock 'n' roll, waltz and disco. The Dancing with Robots attraction is a 1,265 m2 ballroom, featuring 10 robocoasters1, 7 m-high polyarticulated robots. These robotic arms, each with six joints, are manufactured by German company KUKA Roboter GmbH, Europe's leading manufacturer of industrial robotics. They are capable of accelerations of up to 3 g and of lifting loads of up to 500 kg2.
Visitors are seated in two-seater gondolas mounted on the wrists of the robocoasters, which carry them through the air to the rhythm of five songs.
