Fort de Brégançon is a former state residence used as the official (mainly summer) vacation resort of the President of the French Republic. Now a historic site managed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, it has been open to visitors since June 26, 2014 and after some refurbishment work.It is located on the Mediterranean coast in the commune of Bormes-les-Mimosas (Var), on the heights of a 35-metre-high rocky outcrop and just a few metres from the coast of Cap Bénat, to which it is linked by a jetty (it was originally separated by an arm of the sea).
