The dungeon of the castle of Vincennes which dominates of its 50 m the Western face of the ramparts of the castle-fort.This magnificent structure, the highest medieval fortified building in Europe, is a masterpiece of 14th century military art. In the lower part of the medal, we can see that it is surrounded by an enclosure, also fortified, or "chemise" with a turret at each corner.
