Since 1930, the château has housed the collections of the Musée Départemental de l'Ariège. Prehistory, Gallo-Roman and medieval archaeology bear witness to the history of Ariège from the earliest times. The museum is currently redeploying its collections around the history of the château site, with the aim of recreating life in Foix at the time of the counts. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Foix?msclkid=4f304b69a61811ecbe7b9fb288950ed8
