This token represents the Château de Chenonceau, built on the Cher River, whose waters reflect the unique beauty of its Renaissance architecture.
Château de Chenonceau is one of the jewels of the Loire Valley. A "Château des Dames" in French history, built in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet, successively embellished by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Médicis, saved from the rigors of the Revolution by Madame Dupin, Chenonceau owes part of its charm to women. Chenonceau is remarkable not only for its architecture and history, but also for the richness of its collections, as the interior tour reveals: Renaissance furniture, a large collection of tapestries from the 16th and 17th centuries and numerous paintings by the Masters.
