Château de Breteuil features 17th-century architecture, with a square courtyard entirely enclosed by walls or buildings and bordered by a moat. At the front, two corner pavilions and a central passageway; at the back of the courtyard, across the entire width, a large building whose central section has been preserved. The buildings have a brick structure and plastered infill. It is surrounded by French and English gardens, including an orangery and dovecote.
