The Apocalypse Tapestry (or Apocalypse Tapestries, or Angers Apocalypse) is a late 14th-century representation of the Apocalypse of John, commissioned by Duke Louis I of Anjou. It is the world's largest surviving set of medieval tapestries. Composed of six successive pieces, each divided into fourteen pictures, the tapestry is based on cartoons by Hennequin de Bruges, and testifies to the prestige of its patron. The hanging was bequeathed to Angers Cathedral in the 15th century by King René. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenture_de_l%27Apocalypse
