Minière et Métallurgique de Rodange (MMR) (Rodange mines and steelworks) was a Luxembourg blast furnace steel producer and mining company originally founded in 1872 under the name Hauts-Fourneaux de Rodange. From 1905 to 1935, the company was a division of Ougrée-Marihaye. In 1973, the company merged with Société des Hauts Fourneaux et Aciéries d'Athus to form Société Métallurgique et Minière de Rodange-Athus (MMRA), and in 1978, ARBED acquired a 25% stake in the company. At the end of the 1970s, the Athus plant closed and steel production and mining activities ceased in Rodange. The company then became a steel rolling mill specializing in rails. In 1994, the company merged with another Luxembourg steel company based in Schifflange to form ARES (Aciéries Rodange Esch-Schifflange), part of ProfilARBEB, the long products division of ARBED. Since 2010, the remains of the company have been known as ArcelorMittal Rodange & Schifflange S.A., part of the ArcelorMittal group.
