Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada Got it's start on Trail Creek Landing on the Columbia River in British Columbia. Starting in the late 1800’s. It is still operational and has become a world wide corporation. It started under another name changing to Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada in 1906. In 1970s they moved the corporate offices from Montreal to Vancouver. In the beginning of the 21st century COMINCO LTD merged with Teck Corperation. Now being called Teck resources Limited.
