Daman is the name given to the French military mission created in 1978 on the initiative of General Jean Cuq within the United Nations International Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to help the Lebanese government reestablish its effective authority in the region and to achieve results in South Lebanon. demining the border area with Israel. Daman X was the tenth active mission from October 2009 to February 2010.
