A five-leafed symmetric chestnut leaf occupies most of the token's flat, with the lettering "КИЇВ" to the bottom.

There are at least 6 variations of this token:

Legend:
- four beams around the "M" - early version
- large legend (around the "M") - here there is very little space (<1mm) between the legend and the outer ring
- small legend (around the "M) - here there is about 1mm space between the legend and the outer ring
- small legend (around the "M") and very thin inner ring (around the "M")

Leaf: (only on the large legend variations)
- all 5 leaves appear "filled (solid)"
- the lower two leaves (left and right) appear outlined only (here the "M" is also much larger and it's top almost touches the inner ring"

There is also a production error where both sides have the "leaf".
