Comment

Brown: This medal was a speculation of James Peters, a jeweller of St Mary's Street (now Market Hill), Cambridge, and was struck at the Soho mint. The portrait of Camden is from life. Peters offered the medals for sale at the following prices:- silver (in case) £1.1s.0d., bronze 10s.6d., white metal 5s.0d.
