Warragul Fire Brigade was formed in 1883, and is today part of the Country Fire Authority (CFA) of Victoria, Australia. Warragul is a town 100 kilometres east of Melbourne, Victoria, with a population of approximately 20,000.

The fire service star is an 8-pointed star based on the Cross of Saint John or the Maltese Cross. The 8 points originally represented the 8 virtues of knighthood, which firefighters have adopted, being: Tact, Loyalty, Dexterity, Observation, Sympathy, Explicitness, Gallantry and Perseverance.
